Margaret Fitzpatrick

Margaret Fitzpatrick,

Margaret is a 1990 Temple University graduate (summa cum laude). She received her doctorate in physical therapy in 2004. Her clinical experience is one of diversity. She began her career in a dynamic rehabilitation hospital and subsequently had the opportunity to work around the country as a traveling physical therapist.

Margaret developed her clinical expertise in orthopedics while managing several outpatient rehabilitation clinics. The American Physical Therapy Association awarded her with a Board Certification in Orthopedics in 1998 for her extensive experience in orthopedics and successful exam completion.

In 1999 Margaret became certified in vestibular rehabilitation for the treatment of dizziness and imbalance and has successfully treated many patients with these conditions. She founded a vestibular support group in the Bucks-Montgomery County area and frequently gives presentations on this topic.

After completing a four-part series of post-graduate courses and passing a written and practical Credentialing Examination Margaret became certified in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) in 2018.

As a competitive runner and tri-athlete, Margaret also enjoys working in sports rehabilitation and fitness program development. It is with pleasure that she brings this experience and passion for her work to Willow Grove Physical Therapy.

Julie Sergio

Julie studied Health Science at James Madison University in Virginia and went on to earn a Bachelors Degree in Psychology in 1998 from Beaver College (now Arcadia University). She then proceeded to earn a Master of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Beaver College in 2000. Julie is a licensed Pennsylvania Direct Access Physical Therapist. Julie is certified in Vestibular Therapy. After completing a four-part series of post-graduate courses and passing a written and practical Credentialing Examination, Julie became certified in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) in 2018. Julie enjoys running and has completed 6 half marathons and 1 full marathon! Julie resides in Horsham with her husband, Steve, 2 sons and 1 daughter.

Erin Kilkenny

Erin Kilkenny,

Erin graduated from Widener University with her Bachelors in Arts and Sciences and also with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

She has worked at Willow Grove Physical Therapy as an aide/secretary intermittently, since the practice opened in 2003. Erin also participated in various sports in high school and played soccer for 2 years at Widener University.

She attended the Vestibular Competency course at Emory University in April 2012 and received her vestibular certification at that time. In 2016 Erin also became certified as a BIG Clinician for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease.

Erin is a licensed Pennsylvania Direct Access Physical Therapist. Her love for sports and experience at WGPT during high school is what drove her towards the physical therapy profession.

Kevin Lynn

Kevin graduated from Penn State University Main Campus in 2011 with a BS degree in Kinesiology and graduated from Arcadia University with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2015. In April 2016 Kevin completed the Vestibular Competency Course at Emory University and he is a certified vestibular therapist. Kevin is certified as a BIG Clinician for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease and has volunteered in Jamaica doing intensive stroke rehabilitation with uninsured patients. He is Titleist Performance Institute Certified, which involves a full body-function analysis in relation to the golf swing. He has been a long-term member of the WGPT team working as a PT aide and fitness instructor throughout school. He was a competitive athlete who played tennis, football, and basketball at Archbishop Wood HS. He enjoys working with all patients and has a strong interest in orthopedics and post-concussion rehab. He is an avid runner and has completed 3 full marathons, as well as triathlons. 

Gina McGovern

Gina has been with Willow Grove Physical Therapy and has been a certified vestibular therapist since 2004. Gina graduated from Temple University in 1990 with her friend and colleague Margaret Fitzpatrick.

Courtney Dedda

Courtney graduated from Penn State University Main Campus in 2011 with a BS in Kinesiology, Movement Sciences. She graduated with her doctorate of physical therapy from Arcadia University in 2014. During her time at Arcadia she was mentored in the clinical setting at Willow Grove Physical Therapy for 6 months. She also served underprivileged orthopedic populations in Guatemala. She began her career in a diverse setting with exposure to inpatient and outpatient populations with a special focus on vestibular and orthopedic pathologies. In April 2016 she became a certified vestibular therapist and she recently earned her OCS (Orthopedic Certified Specialist). In her spare time she enjoys running and she completed her first full marathon in Newport, RI.

Jackie Pedersen

Jackie studied at Temple University on an accelerated professional track to earn both her Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology (summa cum laude) and her Doctor of Physical Therapy, graduating in 2017. She completed the Vestibular Compentency Course at Emory University and is a vestibular certified therapist. Jackie competed for Temple's club gymnastics team. Prior to that, she was a level 9 gymnast and involved in competitive gymnastics for many years. After being mentored at WGPT during her clinical training, she feels fortunate to be a part of the team and loves the versatility within the profession of Physical Therapy. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring the city, playing guitar, and practicing acrobatic yoga.

Matt Fackner

Matt Fackner is a native of Virginia, who earned his DPT at Arcadia University.  Physical therapy is Matt’s second career, which he loves, after having his soul crushed in Washington, D.C. for 7 years.  He's also studied political science and E.U economic policy.  Matt has a wife and 3 small boys, with whom he enjoys climbing trees, tromping through mud, and generally being mischievous.  

Kyle Kammerle

Kyle participated in an accelerated collegiate, professional track to obtain his Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology with a Biomedical Concentration and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy, graduating from Arcadia University in January, 2020. While in school, he was mentored by multiple therapists at Willow Grove Physical Therapy and was able to serve underprivileged communities with neurological pathologies in St. Elizabeth Parish, Jamaica. He was an extremely active member of his campus community serving as the President of the institution's Honors Program and helping lead multiple student-run organizations on campus like the Arcadia Dance Team. This led him to further explore his passions that morphed into several incredible opportunities as he currently instructs as an Adjunct Professor in the Biology Department at Arcadia University, teaches dance to children and adults at a local dance studio, serves as a member of Arcadia's Board of Trustees, and he recently started his professional dance career as a cheerleader for the Philadelphia Eagles!

Kristen Haug

Kristen earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to that, she received her undergraduate degree in movement science/fitness studies from Penn State in 2014. For the start of her physical therapy career, Kristen worked as a travel physical therapist providing her with the opportunity to work in a variety of settings ranging from outpatient orthopedics to skilled nursing facilities. Kristen has completed full time clinicals in the outpatient neurological and inpatient rehab settings with a focus on working with patients with concussion, Parkinson’s Disease, and vestibular disorders. Having been born and raised in Bucks County, Kristen is happy to be back and serving the community that she grew up in. Kristen is an avid backpacker and runner. She has explored over 500 miles of trails in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem and completed five marathons. 

Kelly Fitzpatrick

Kelly Fitzpatrick,

Kelly graduated with a BS in Kinesiology from Penn State University Main Campus in 2019. She then went on to receive a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Arcadia University in 2022. At Penn State, Kelly was a 4-year member and senior captain of the Division I cheerleading team. Kelly led her team in front of 107,000 plus spectators in Beaver Stadium, traveled to cheer on the Nittany Lions, and competed in the yearly UCA college nationals. She was a member of the team in 2016 that took top 5 in the nation at college nationals. Kelly is also a former high intensity interval trainer at F45 Training where taught a workout class with Mark Wahlberg. She has been a member of the WGPT team since 2018 when she started working as an aide prior to starting PT school. Kelly has wanted to be a physical therapist since first grade after coming to WGPT for “take your child to work day” with the owner, Margaret, who is her aunt. When not exercising or working with patients, Kelly enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially at the shore in Sea Isle City, NJ.

Katie Sautter

Katie graduated Summa Cum Laude from Temple University in 2018 with a BS in Kinesiology. She then went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Arcadia University, graduating in January 2022. During her time at Arcadia, she spent 6 months of her clinical training being mentored at WGPT, and is now fortunate and excited to be a part of the team. She was also able to travel to Guatemala and treat underserved populations at the end of her doctorate training. When she is not in the clinic, Katie enjoys running, being outdoors, and spending time with her three rescue kittens.

Jenn Freeman

Jenn Freeman,
PT, DPT

Jenn graduated from Misericordia University in December 2018 with a BS in Psychology. She then continued her education at Misericordia to earn her Doctorate in Physical therapy in December 2021. During her time at Misericordia University, she spent 3 months as a student physical therapist at WGPT Hatboro location, with additional clinical placements in local outpatient settings. While in school, Jenn completed community service both domestically and internationally, including volunteering at a student lead Pro Bono clinic on campus. She has previous experience working in an outpatient clinic with focus on orthopedic conditions. Born and raised in Hatboro, Jenn is excited to be serving the community she grew up in. When not giving her heart to the profession, Jenn gives her heart to Philadelphia sports. She is a crazed Philadelphia Phillies and Flyers fan, and can often be found attending games at Citizens Bank Park and the Wells Fargo Center. She also enjoys traveling and spending time with family at the Jersey Shore.

Sharon Cristofalo

Sharon Cristofalo, MA, PT has distinguished herself in the field of physical therapy. She is a graduate of New York University with a career spanning more than 40 years. Sharon has provided exceptional patient care outpatient centers, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and home care. With a Master of Arts degree from NYU PT department, in the study of Pathokinesiology, she has extensive knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology and musculoskeletal conditions and has taught at Long Island University as an Assistant Professor. Her expertise encompasses the spine, SI dysfunction, TMJ, joints dysfunction, pelvic-core strength training, manual therapy, myofascial release and Reiki, to name a few.

Her philosophy is that each patient is unique and requires compassion and understanding to achieve their goals with education for whole body awareness.

Sharon enjoys nature, gardening, hiking and yoga.

Benjamin Auerbach

Benjamin Auerbach,
PT, DPT

Ben earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Temple University in 2023, having previously earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Temple in 2020. While at Temple, he played club ice hockey and spent time working as a coach for Ed Snider Youth Hockey & Education, running weekly skills sessions and helping with summer camps. While in PT school, he was fortunate to serve as a board member of the North Broad Physical Therapy Center, providing pro bono PT services to the uninsured and underinsured community in North Philadelphia, while also practicing his clinical skills. He spent time at WGPT on one of his clinical rotations, which sparked his interest in treating patients with various orthopedic, vestibular, and neurologic conditions. He strives to help each patient he works with maximize their function and life their life to the fullest. He enjoys hiking, running, as well as spending time with friends and family. 

Zachary Zajac

Zachary Zajac,
PT, DPT

Zach has a B.S. in Kinesiology from Penn State University graduating in 2016 and received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Desales University graduating in 2020. Zach comes to Willow Grove Physical Therapy with 3 years experience in outpatient orthopedics and vestibular therapy.

Zach is a huge sports fan particularly of all things Philadelphia and Penn State. He participated in baseball and soccer during his high school career at Archbishop Ryan High School. As an avid runner himself, he developed an interest in dealing with a variety of runners for rehabilitation and assessment.

Carole has been with WGPT for 8 years. She keeps everything running from behind the sceens.

Her hobbies consist of petting cats, feeding cats, and playing with cats. So be sure to ask her about her cats!

Kelly Lafond

Kelly is a Health Educator with a Bachelor’s degree in Community Health Education from Temple University. She has worked in many areas of health education and has taught weight management, smoking cessation, and CPR classes for many years. Kelly has also worked in the school setting as a Health and Physical Education teacher. Her passion is helping people of all ages achieve their wellness goals. Kelly started working part-time for Willow Grove Physical Therapy in 2007. She teaches the Senior Fitness classes, helps as a P.T. Aide and offers weight management services to the clients at Willow Grove Physical Therapy. She also helps set up our community speaking engagements.

Marcy Knapp

Marcy has been with WGPT from the beginning! Marcy is the MVP of insurance verification, credentialling, and assists with billing and front desk needs. 

During her free time Marcy likes to cook and spend time with her 6 lovely grandkids and her husband, Paul. She is also an amature interior design expert, who is always changing her home and her RV. 

Kathleen Scannapieco

While Kathleen is known for bringing a good energy to the front desk at WGPT, she is formally trained as a licensed massage therapist. She loves Cape May, happy hour, and making her coworkers smile.
