Meniere’s Syndrome

Meniere’s Syndrome is a chronic disorder in which patient’s inner ear is affected. It is caused by a dilation of the lymphatic channel which affects the drainage of the endolymph. A person will experience periods of ear fullness, fluctuating hearing loss, tinnitus, & vertigo lasting hours or days. They may have a feeling of being off balance which can last for several days. Patients are asymptomatic between spells. Over time there can be progressive hearing and vestibular loss with multiple episodes.
