Benjamin Auerbach

Bio

Ben earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Temple University in 2023, having previously earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Temple in 2020. While at Temple, he played club ice hockey and spent time working as a coach for Ed Snider Youth Hockey & Education, running weekly skills sessions and helping with summer camps. While in PT school, he was fortunate to serve as a board member of the North Broad Physical Therapy Center, providing pro bono PT services to the uninsured and underinsured community in North Philadelphia, while also practicing his clinical skills. He spent time at WGPT on one of his clinical rotations, which sparked his interest in treating patients with various orthopedic, vestibular, and neurologic conditions. He strives to help each patient he works with maximize their function and life their life to the fullest. He enjoys hiking, running, as well as spending time with friends and family.

I went to Physical Therapy at the Hatboro location following Achilles surgery from an injury while rock climbing. From the moment I walked in the front door I felt welcomed and knew I was in the right place. My PT was Matt F. Matt is an extremely gifted therapist, has a great sense of humor and great taste in music. I went to the Hatboro facility of WG PT. My therapist was Jackie.Jackie exhibited effectiveness in addressing my needs. We worked on improving my balance. Her original assessment both eliminated possible problems as well as pinpointed areas that need improvement.We (me, not really her) did a variety of exercises to improve my balance. After 4 weeks I made progress. Assuming I continue with her recommendations, I should continue to improve.

There are so many things I can say. As a single mother, I was worried about having to bring my daughter with me; however, the staff was so kind about her tagging along. Matt was great to work with, and would create these little challenges for her. Even on the occasions when I worked with Jen, she would include her when she could. Overall, the staff was very knowledgeable and fun to work with. I was given exercises to complete at home, and was sent home with bands to ensure I had the means to do them. At the end of the day, I am extremely happy that I chose this group and, if the need should arise in the future, I would choose them again.

Mike is very thorough in his evaluation and it quickly becomes clear that he is entirely knowledgeable about dizziness and balance issues and how to treat them. He patiently explained the procedures and answered my questions and I never felt rushed during the session. I only needed 2 appointments for Mike to alleviate my BPPV. He provides excellent care.

Excellent practice! I've gone to Willow Grove PT many times over the past several years for various issues. They are always friendly and professional. Other places I have been are not as attentive or patient-focused. This place focuses on patient needs and recovery. Kevin, my usual PT at the Glenside office, always makes adjustments to my at-home exercises as needed. It is definitely not a "one size fits all" type of place. I highly recommend this practice.

Willow Grove Physical Therapy is a clean, bright, and welcoming facility. All the staff are friendly, skillful and patient! For the first month, my therapist, Val, directed me in exercises for balance, and for muscle strengthening and stretching to relieve the pain in my knee. Each week she noted my progress and endurance. During the second month, Val encouraged me to work harder, to overcome my fear of pain, in order to reach my goal of returning to yoga practice. I am back on the mat, thanks to Val's guidance and encouragement.

Had double knee replacement and was placed into home PT by surgeon for 2 weeks. My cousin highly recommended Matt at Hatboro Physical Therapy. Best choice I made. From day one Matt was patient & professional in leading my way to recovery. He answered all my questions and made each session more challenging (in a good way) by adding new exercises and not repeating all the previous ones. I’ve had a problem with my neck for three months and have been to the Dr.’s to look at it. They had me go for X-rays and found nothing wrong to cause the pain I was in. They thought it would go away in time. Called back to the Dr.’s office and they ordered pt. One visit so far to pt and my neck is much better already. I’m sorry I didn’t get to Willow Grove Physical Therapy months ago. It’s not perfect yet but oh what a difference one trip there has done. I can now at least function in life’s duties.
