DOCTOR RECOMMENDS "SHOULDER REPACEMENT"TWO OF FOUR, SHOULDER TENDONS COMPLETELY TORN (including rotator). (Susana's husband is writing this review)The doctor immediately said "I recommend a shoulder replacement". I chose to try PT first. I had previously been to another PT facility associated with the hospital, for shoulder therapy. There, I was one of FIVE patients. Exercises were standard and READ RIGHT OUT OF A BOOK, at that moment! Different therapists (depending on the day I was there) each had conflicting ideas as to what exercises were best for me. NO SUCCESS WAS ACHEIVED!I had previously been to WGPT for Vertigo problems and achieved success. I witnessed and experienced a therapist to patient ratio, ofTWO PATIENTS TO ONE THERAPIST. Why not try it for shoulder therapy? Here, I was PRE TESTED. Results were documented. Exercises FOR MY INDIVIDUAL PROBLEM were set up. I had so many issues, with shoulder immobility, I was given MANY, NOT STANDARD, exercises. Each PT session improved my strength and corrected other issues. A plan was set up for my session BEFORE I GOT THERE (not read out of a book). The therapists are VERY knowledgeable. They nonchalantly used terms in conversation such as "He tore his supraspinatus, degeneration and tearing of the labrum etc. I thought I was with two doctors! They designed a program for MY success not a general program other PT facilities use. As a former athlete, I chose to get pushed with my exercises. I also witnessed the concern and adjustments Courtney and Jackie used when dealing with older patients and those not as physically able as me.I am no longer able to throw a fastball (because of not having two tendons available). Tasks I such as putting a gallon of milk in the fridge, playing the car radio, putting dishes away and completing all my chores (lawn mowing, washing floors, washing widows etc.) are now, WITHOUT PAIN, normal tasks for me.I have been to other PT facilities NOT associated with WGPT. At WGPT, Margaret (the owner) has standards and procedures that are precisely followed. If you want almost "individual therapy", want to work with concerned and knowledgeable therapists, and have a PT program developed for YOUR success, this is the place.I
