Christine Licata
District Director of Operations, PT, DPT
Bio
Christine Licata earned her Bachelor of Science in Health & Exercise Science with a concentration in Exercise Physiology and a minor in Strength & Conditioning from the University of Delaware in 2002. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy with a specialty focus on Pediatrics from Widener University in 2005.
Christine became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) in 2006 and a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy (SCS) in 2013. That same year, she completed a Sports Physical Therapy Certificate Program. She is also an ImPACT Trained Physical Therapist (ITPT) and a Credentialed Clinical Instructor (CCI). Additionally, she is certified in Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) and Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Therapy.
Throughout her career, Christine has worked in a variety of settings including acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine, home health, and assisted living communities. She has extensive experience treating pediatric and adolescent athletes and previously worked at the Sports Medicine and Performance Center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
Her clinical focus is on the evaluation and treatment of orthopedic and sports-related injuries, working with both non-operative and post-operative populations. Christine is passionate about helping patients return to their prior level of function and safely resume sport and recreational activities.
Christine has presented nationally at medical conferences on topics including treatment of the CrossFit athlete, plyometrics and core strengthening, current concepts in shoulder evaluation and treatment, injury prevention for dancers, and ACL rehabilitation and return-to-sport testing.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Christine has held multiple leadership roles. She has served as a Clinic Director, where she successfully opened and operated several outpatient sports medicine physical therapy clinics. She later advanced to Area Director and Regional Director roles, overseeing daily clinical and operational management across multiple sites. Christine is currently employed as a Director of District Operations for PT Solutions.
Christine enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and four sons, walking and hiking with her dogs, playing pickleball, and cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles and the Philadelphia Phillies.
She plans to continue expanding her leadership and business expertise by pursuing a dual MBA/MHA degree in the future.
